PASTOR’S REPORT
2008
Time is moving right along and we are moving along with the time. This past year has experienced many events and happenings at our church.
Much work has been done on the NEW CHURCH this
year. We expect to be finished and moved in before the next charge
conference. TO GOD BE THE GLORY
!!!
Prayer time by the men, Prayer time by the
women, and prayer time in our services by the prayer warriors and the prayer
angels have highlighted the happenings at our church this year. The prayer chain
has pulled several circumstances out of doubt and concern, to the glory of the
LORD.
We have had several people attend and
complete the Lay Speakers School. Some should be speaking in our church very
soon.
Many activities have been enjoyed by
the youth department. These include conferences, worship meetings, concerts,
field trips, etc., etc……
The Methodist Men United group has
been very active; as has the Methodist Ladies of our Church. Much has been done
by and through these groups.
Fund raisers, such as chicken-ques,
Brunswick stews, auctions, yard sales, concerts and other events are
planned.
The HOLY SPIRIT has been the
most blessed guest that we have had in our church this year. The services have
been , for the most part, very spirit-moving. Worship of the LORD and the
advancement of souls in the LORD is what our church is all
about……..bottom line……it is about HIM and HIM in our
hearts.
There are too many things to mention
on this paper here today, but, what about how awesome GOD has been in our
building program. Time is too short today and paper is too scarce to mention
everyone’s name and all the deeds that have been done in our building program.
We celebrate 127 years with this charge
conference.
One hundred and twenty seven years of
worship and service by our church. God will not let this go un-noticed. We
boldly, in faith, begin the next 127 years of worship and service in
anticipation of our LORD’S RETURN.
